🔸 Important news for the beekeeping industry 🔸

The message remains the same. Continue to use all available tools to control your mite levels.
Rotation is key!

Recent reports confirm some resistance to flumethrin and amitraz in varroa mites in QLD & NSW. This is difficult news for Australian beekeepers. These products have been key tools in managing varroa. At this stage, this is early information, the situation is still developing. Current evidence suggests this could be linked to a new incursion, rather than widespread resistance across all operations.

What this means for beekeepers
> Monitor your hives closely
> Use approved treatments as directed
> Rotate chemical groups to reduce resistance pressure
> Report any treatment failure

We advise to do not stop using these products without clear evidence of failure in your apiary.
