Bigger battery doesn’t always mean better battery. A 50kWh battery might sound impressive, but not every home needs that much storage.

The right battery size depends on your current power use, future plans, EV charging, backup needs, and how much solar you can actually produce. Oversizing can mean paying for storage you may not fully use. That’s why proper design and honest advice matter.

Is a battery still worth it? For many homes, yes. With battery rebates still available and more flexible energy options emerging, storage is becoming a smarter choice for many households.

A battery helps you use more of your own solar, rely less on the grid, and take advantage of new ways to trade energy back when the opportunity is there.

Will solar actually save you money? For many homes, solar can offset around 50% of energy costs, and with smart monitoring and better load management, that can improve even further.

Simple changes like running your pool pump, dishwasher, or washing machine during the day help you use more of your own solar instead of buying from the grid. Add a battery, and you can store solar for night-time use too.
