Roam Rutherglen is such a unique festival. By our estimates, approximately half a million people have attended this long weekend celebration since it began in 1974. Wow! Now that is generational festival and something the original Rutherglen winemakers who conceived the idea should be very proud of.

While it has always been a wine festival, over the years it has also morphed into one giant dress-up party. The imagination and creativity that go into the costumes of those attending each year truly must be seen to be believed.

If you’ve ever admired our magnificent green lawns over the years, chances are Jeff was a big reason it looked so good.

Week in, week out, he kept our grounds looking an absolute picture.

Did you know that Thursday May 21st is International Chardonnay Day? 🗓️

While it’s officially just a one-day celebration, at Pfeiffer Wines we decided to celebrate all month long… because we just LOVE Chardonnay. 🥳

✅ Earlier in the month we had a special 6-Pack of 2014, 2019 and 2024 Pfeiffer Chardonnay available to purchase which included an online Chardonnay Masterclass, hosted by Jen and Chris last Thursday. Those who participated in the masterclass LOVED it and there was lots of discussion about which of the three vintages rocked the most.

✅ We have also been hosting The Chardonnay Hour, a special daily experience we have been running at the cellardoor throughout May between 3.30pm and 4.30pm which includes 2 different vintages of Chardonnay paired with Brie, bruschette chips & creamy spinach dip. 🍷🧀 And there are still 10 days you can do this...so PLEASE come!

But for today, on International Chardonnay Day, please join with us in raising your glass to one of the world's most loved and versatile wines.
