Valhalla Wines Valhalla Wines is a lo-fi small winery showcasing wines grown in the North East of Victoria. Small batch & Hand made wines with soul. Cellar Door is now closed.

Based at the base of the hills we feature grapes grown in Beechworth, Alpine Valleys, King Valley & Rutherglen regions. Our wines are available through our online store and we will be popping up at tastings, events, and dinners as soon as various lockdowns allow us to. Keep an eye out as we will be arriving in more small independent wine stores and good restaurants shortly. Cheers,

So, Valhalla won’t be popping up this long weekend! However, if you are in Rutherglen, please visit the old Wicked Virgin site as a new era starts.
Joe & Alexandra Perry have taken over the vineyard & olive grove and are breathing new life into this place ad Hopetoun Grove.

They are popping up as a one weekend taster as they are still completing their renovations of the recent purchase.
Great to see another quality olive oil and farm produce venue in Rutherglen!

A small taste of what’s to come…

We’re opening the gates for one weekend only with our freshly pressed olive oil and a selection of great wines.

After the long weekend, we’ll be closing again while we continue preparing Hopetoun Grove for its official reopening.

Next Wednesday we welcome Valhalla owner and winemaker Anton Therkildsen (finally!), sharing a selection of his wines. ⁣
⁣
Some of you may be familiar with Valhalla and its former home in Rutherglen. Working with local growers, Anton sources fruit from sites across the North East, including Beechworth, King Valley, Alpine Valleys and Rutherglen. Each wine is crafted by hand, made traditionally with a minimalist lo-fi approach. The wines are small batch, single vineyard, using open and barrel fermentation, hand plunging, basket pressing and, where needed, a little foot stomping!⁣

Come on down and meet one of the nicest guys in wine, next Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm. ⁣
⁣
As always wine tastings are casual, fun, and always free. Come say hi 👋 ⁣
