My father Henning passed last night, many of you saw him out back at Valhalla on the basket press in vintage, in cellar door, planning the next cover crop or alternative farming possibilities, dreaming about new tractors, but most often on his beloved ride on mower. He loved visiting and getting the place tidy again.
It was his love of wine that inspired me to drop into this industry at such an early age.
He was always pushing me to be passionate about the wines we produce and to strive for excellence. He loved farm life and supported us at Valhalla in many ways and we will miss him deeply. If you get the chance, raise a glass in his honour!
