Recently, The Mitchell Shire has partnered with Resource Recovery Australia, a not-for-profit social enterprise with experience operating reuse shops for local governments across Australia.

Last week's mystery item turned out to be a battery terminal cleaner, and judging by the comments, quite a few of you still have one floating around in your toolbox at home! 👏

This week, Mitch from our Reviva Noosa team has brought us another mystery item... and we're completely stumped 🤔

It's pretty clear this one belongs in the kitchen, but we're not quite sure what it would have been used for.

💚 From pre-loved clothing to a one-of-a-kind garden hat

Before retirement, Lachlan spent his working life crop dusting. These days, you'll more likely find him spending time in the garden.

Knowing he'd need plenty of sun protection, his friend Jeni got creative. Using a pair of shorts and an old shirt she picked up from Reviva, she handmade this unique garden hat especially for Lachlan.

We think it looks fantastic! 🌱

Stories like this are a wonderful reminder that pre-loved items can become so much more than they were originally intended to be. With a little imagination, yesterday's clothing can become tomorrow's gardening essential.
