We would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of our clients, both new and old for your support and business this year. We were faced with some unexpected challenges this year, but your understanding, patience, loyalty and support means so much and was certainly not lost on us. It’s actually hard to find the right words to truly describe how much we appreciate it so thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏

We are very excited for the things we have in the pipeline for 2025 including welcoming on board our new assessors who will be joining us and we cannot wait.

We are taking part in Nedd’s uncomfortable challenge to help raise money and awareness for people experiencing homelessness in Australia. For 10 days we will run 5km a day. We are currently on day 4 💪

The new BASIX portal is proving to be a little challenging at the moment with little bugs causing a few headaches.

Some problems we are currently experiencing include:

* the new portal requesting another certificate fee to be paid to already generated certificates

* technical issues with the conversion of old certificates and not letting us finalise these old/updated certificates

* delays in BASIX transfers being actioned

It is incredibly frustrating for the clients and we hear and feel your frustrations. Please know we are reporting all issues to our governing body Design Matters who are assisting us to resolve these issues as quickly as we can. Unfortunately a lot of it is out of our control.

What does the new BASIX changes mean?

We still have capacity on our books to undertake assessments under the current targets if you need to lodge before the BASIX changes come in. The changes come into effect on 1 October 2023, so don’t leave it too late.
