Pine is light to work with and is subject to a stringent and prescribed method of grading and drying. Pine is a safe product to use with low toxicity, produced from a plentiful and renewable supply of forest resources. Pine is a product that requires smaller amounts of energy to produce and also stores carbon dioxide. All this gives pine important advantages over other non-timber building materials.
