Dear JDC Dancer
On what would have been the end of term 1 we wanted to send you a letter to let you all know how we have ENORMOUSLY MISSED YOU ALL !!
While it was time for us to part it does not make not seeing you weekly any easier.
See you were never just a student to us you are and always will be our dance family members.
Whether you were with us for 5 years , 5 months or 5 weeks you have a place in our hearts.
As much as we were your teachers , you taught us so many lessons.
You grounded us , you humbled us.
You put smiles on our faces on our darkest days.
You made our hearts swell with pride.
You made us laugh.
You made us work harder.
We were so proud of how proud you were to walk through the studio doors as a JDC dancer.
You pushed yourself pass fear , pass shyness , pass injury , pass self doubt to show up ! Keep that going because pushing through the tough times , the challenging times is what opens you to amazing adventures and moments in your life.
Thank you for creating life time memories with us . From the conversations with Miss Sarah , the achievements of new skills learnt , workshop antics , public performances, talent shows & of course our favourite end of year concerts.
Thank you for bearing the 1 million photos taken by Miss Sarah those are now part of our most cherished possessions.
Thank you for every single picture drawn and gifted , homemade cards , sharing of your favourite lollies & showing us the routines you made up at home.
We love when we bump into now and still we get the best hugs hello or a catch up conversation, please promise if you ever do run in to that you will continue to come say hi .
We miss you , keep shining bright , whether that’s dancing , singing , basketball, horse riding or whatever your hearts have led you to. We wish you the best and most fun with it all.
At the end of 2024 you may remember that we had a secret project where you could send in messages to Miss Amelia & Miss Chloe , as you all know Miss Sarah loves to keep those special things time capsuled in Facebook so they are never lost. So they be posted with this letter for all to look back on.
These messages will be read a million times , some days with tears , some days with big smiles BUT ALWAYS read knowing how loved we were & our hope is that you to felt that in return from us.
As we sign off with our last ever JDC post…..
