Tomorrow at , AI is being asked to design a bold strategy to make Gippsland a top-10 global renewable energy hub by 2030, in order to demonstrate the collaborative potential of AI technology.
The numbers are impressive:
✔ 15,000 jobs
✔ $10B economic activity
✔ 50% emissions reduction
✔ 60% local content
✔ 5 global partnerships
✔ $5B investment
But here’s my provocation: AI can’t solve what we don’t name.
Right now, the “S” in ESG — social procurement, inclusive employment, and wellbeing — isn’t in the brief.
Without it, we risk building an economic plan with no human core.
Even if it's 'only a demonstration' - we can't be what we can't see.
This is where inclusive leadership and complexity science creates the missing pillar.
It’s what stitches procurement, HR, and ESG together — turning strategy into justice, and transition into transformation.
I’ve written more in my article and recorded a podcast to share this provocation in full.
I can’t be in the room tomorrow — but you can.
When the AI speaks, ask the questions it can’t.
