Hollywood could come to Mountainside.
Mountainside wines could be the location for a joint Hollywood/Australian movie with a Hollywood A lister in the lead role. Mountainside is currently one of three small wineries/properties being considered. The only one located in Victoria. How did this happen? A guest in our Blue House B&B is an associate of the producer and after their stay, they recommend that Mountainside be added to the locations for consideration. They also visited a number of wineries in the region secretly. A follow up visit and discussion expanded on the potential. A decision is months away but still pretty exciting.

Another Mountainside wines story of articles and photos that are in our studio. This is a Red Cross flag from the battlefield of France from WW1. It was given to Jane’s grandfather father by a friend in Europe. The little French badge translates to Hope and Salvation.

After a busy long weekend the Mountainside cellar door, we have to clear the empties. Ask Jane about the time, many years ago when she was executive assistant to one of Australia’s most popular gold Logie TV and radio personality. We also have his old contact book with many famous names in it.

Mountainside wines 2021 Reserve Shiraz comes from an acre of vines, sharing the Nebbiolo vineyard near the residence. Incorporate some new French oak barrel and away we go. When at our cellar door ask Shane how he got to do some bloody fast laps with the Stig from Top Gear in England. The gent in the red shirt wasn’t being friendly, he was pulling the belts so tight, I struggled to breath. The picture hangs in our studio.
