I wanted to make a post to update you all on what’s happening with the closing of my online booking system.
In the original post informing you all of my decision to work a bit less and focus more on my mental health, I was going to reopen the booking system maybe 1st February. I have decided to extend this date for another month as I am not where I would like to be mentally and physically. I have had some stuff happen this year that has sadly set my progress with my mental health a few steps backwards.
I am hoping things take a turn for the better and I won’t extend this again. I am sorry for messing people around with the booking system and changing the opening date. I appreciate and thank the clients that have stuck by me through my mess. I hope I see more familiar and new faces when I’m ready to work more again.

2025, well, thank goodness you’re over.

Outside of work, I faced many difficulties. I became very ill, unaware of the cause, and endured it for over a year and a half. My illness took a toll on me. My mental health has always been a struggle, and I had to hide my true emotions. But my illness made me vulnerable, and my emotions surfaced.

My social anxiety reached an all-time high. Leaving the house for work overwhelmed me with overthinking and anxiety. This led to a decline in my performance, which didn’t help my overthinking and getting in my own head. I always have loved the work, the clientele, and the environment at my workplace. But the thing that once motivated me to leave the house became stressful and overwhelming.

As a result, I fell short of my business goals and let people down. I regret that. I can’t fix the past, but I do apologise to everyone affected by my negligence.

To all my loyal clients, I can’t thank you enough. I didn’t deserve the opportunities you gave me. Thank you for your unwavering support.

I’ve decided to temporarily close my online booking system for the start of 2026. I need to prioritise my well-being. I intend to use this time to self-reflect and hopefully rekindle my passion for my work.

The booking system will be closed for January and February, but it may reopen. I’ll work limited hours during this time, but the booking system will remain open so you can still book an appointment with Jade for lash services.

I hope to see many of you for haircuts during my reduced hours. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with new and existing clients.

In my 10 years of hairdressing I have not had that horrible moment of being told that a client has passed away, that all changed yesterday when I was told that you had been taken from us way to soon ! My heart stopped in shock and sadness. I will forever miss seeing you in the salon. I am so thankful I got to meet and get to know you. You were one amazing woman. Sharyn you were one of a kind.
Flyhigh Shaz, give all those dogs kisses that you helped have a better lives.

Couldn’t be happier with how this colour turned out. Having to bleach around previous bleach foils to lighten the warmer faded mahogany colour to get a cleaner all over blonde. With no breakage, with the help of K18. 😍
