Project: APRA Music Awards 2026
Client: APRA AMCOS

We’re very proud to have delivered the 2026 APRA Music Awards, celebrating not only this year’s incredible achievements across Australian music, but also 100 years of APRA AMCOS.

Working within a venue so familiar to the industry, our team focused on transforming the space into a distinct and immersive guest experience; carefully evolving each environment throughout the night, from arrivals and awards through to the afterparty.

The ceremony featured nine live performances woven throughout the awards presentation, with ORBIT leading the development of the show flow alongside the event management and operational delivery required to bring the night together seamlessly.

With a highly ambitious creative and technical overlay, paired with an incredibly short on-ground delivery window, the project demanded detailed strategic planning, logistics coordination and close collaboration across all partners to deliver an event worthy of such a significant milestone.

A privilege to help shape this landmark celebration for the Australian music industry.

Client: APRA AMCOS

As we pass the one month to go mark for the APRA Music Award 2026, we’re peeking back at celebrating Australia’s finest screen composers at the 2025 Screen Music Awards ✨

ORBIT was proud to produce the event for APRA AMCOS, in partnership with the AGSG, bringing the industry together at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall for a night honouring the people who shape the sound of our stories.

APRA welcomed over 300 guests for an evening of awards, sit down dinner service, and dazzling afterparty, the latter being very conveniently held in The Outpost - a venue within a venue.

One of the true hallmarks of the Screen Music Awards is the live orchestra, performing every winning score, each nominated Song of the Year, and special feature performances, including a standout tribute marking 20 years of Wolf Creek and a surprise closing performance of ‘Dream On’ composed by Megan Washington, performed live with the orchestra, Electric Fields and choir.

A huge thank you to our phenomenal hosts David Wenham, Nathalie Morris and Mark Coles Smith.

The return of an Australian icon. 🎬🌳

After a six-year hiatus, the world’s largest short film festival, Tropfest, made its triumphant return to Centennial Park. As event managers, the ORBIT team was proud to help lead this new era—adapting a legendary festival for 2026 while staying true to the DNA that makes it so beloved.

Modernizing a Classic:
Evolving the festival footprint and operations to meet 2026 standards and a new "not-for-profit" foundation model.

High-Profile Logistics:
Tailored VIP planning and security for a star-studded jury, including Jury President Margot Robbie, Taron Egerton and the Tropfest Foundation board.

Community Impact:
Delivering a seamless, free-to-the-public experience for tens of thousands of film lovers under the stars.

Working alongside the Tropfest Foundation, ORBIT managed the end-to-end event delivery, with a special focus on celebrating the next generation of filmmakers while hosting those that paved the way.

It’s been an honour to help put this event back where it belongs: in the heart of Sydney and the hearts of storytellers everywhere.

St Jerome's Laneway Festival we miss you already! 🫶

For our second year in Centennial Park delivering the Sydney 2026 event, we challenged ourselves to rethink the traditional festival footprint. Moving away from "how it’s always been done," we took a fresh look at the site's potential, focusing on a design that felt custom-built for Laneway, the artists, and most importantly, the fans.

Our highlights…

Reimagined VIP: A brand-new location and elevated experience.

The Pine Grove: Opening up the natural landscape to create unique pockets for patrons to explore.

Flow & Movement: Flow & Movement: Designing a main stage area fit for a sold-out crowd to do ‘HOT TO GO’ in perfect unison.

Interactive Activations: A fun challenge with Aeroplane Agency team to create more "room to roam" on site while welcoming high-impact brands and builds for the likes of Red Bull, YSL, JMC Academy, and Wuthering Heights.

Thank you to the Centennial Parklands facilities and arborist team. We appreciate your collaboration and trust as we utilised the park in new ways, all while ensuring the parklands were maintained to their intended purpose. 🌲 🌲

Project: North Sydney New Years Eve 2025
Client: North Sydney Council

As the biggest event on the Australian events calendar, Sydney New Years Eve sees thousands of people flock to the foreshore to catch a glimpse of the iconic fireworks display and be some of the first people in the world to see in the new year.

ORBIT managed the North Sydney Council precinct, including three managed vantage points of Bradfield Park, Blues Point Reserve and Lavender Bay, which saw an attendance of over 28,000 people, along with three low service sites - over 40 staff on the ground keeping guests safe, informed and entertained.

Done in partnership with Site Specific Events, our team worked tirelessly over many months to ensure these key vantage points were efficiently managed, including traffic and public transport planning, communications overlay, accessibility and inclusion initiatives, resident engagement, supplier scheduling, and representing the interests of the Northern foreshore in All-Agency meetings.

With such great views and an even greater team, what more could we wish for in 2026?

Very special thanks to: North Sydney Council (especially Vikki Woods, Neil Shotter, Gen Deslandes), all of our wonderful stakeholders and suppliers
