💡 TODAYS - DID YOU KNOW?? 🤔 🚿
Brought to you by Sammut Glass & Aluminium
….
Did you know that the updated and current Modern House Standards and Liveable Housing Design Standards now stipulate that any NEW BUILD property (house or unit) MUST have AT LEAST 1 shower on the property that:
- Has Step Free Entry
- Is Sill Free (nothing on the floor to interfere with access) so that it can be Wheelchair accessible and a more comfortable and accessible space
*Note: there is an allowance for a thin water bar on the floor at a certain maximum height though as that isn’t known to cause interference in access.

✔️ This can be achieved through such designs as Frameless Pivot Door Shower including Frameless Sliding Showers or Sill-Less Fully Framed Showers though can not be achieved through the popular Semi Framed design🚿

💭 So if you’re building a NEW BUILD of any sorts in Queensland- please ensure your builder is aware of the current standards that need to be achieved at your new property 🙌

A popular choice we are finding at the moment is Owners (especially of investment properties) are starting to remove sliding showers to a pivot opening door system.
🤔Why is this? Sliding showers are more prone to have issues with rollers breaking or doors coming off the track especially when there is a lot of use therefore, if you're looking for a more durable and a cleaner looking shower design.. then a pivot door option could be exactly what you need! 🫶
Here is a Before & After of one we recently completed for an investment property in Northgate! 🙏🙌
