HUGE progress on our new hangar over the last week, it is exciting (and overwhelming) to finally see these frames standing and the concrete floor complete.

Fun fact: these frames have cool history. They were once a brand new aircraft hangar at the Darwin Airport and withstood the bombing of Darwin in 1942 and Cyclone Tracey in 1975. They were moved to the Darwin Showgrounds and stood as a generic use shed until the early 2000's when they were dismantled and lay in a paddock for 20+ years. We have spent many weekends restoring and upgrading them to meet current engineering standards, and are so proud to have them standing again as our new hangar.

When the planes can't come to us, we go to the planes! Chief engineer, Boyd in Kununurra this morning for 2 days work. Boyd is also a pilot so we don't always have to rely on commercial flights to provide services to remote locations 👏

We provide aircraft engineering services primarily across the top end of Australia, but can travel anywhere! Contact us if you need an engineer to fly in to your location!

Something a little different over the weekend, we moonlighted as Uber Eats Air Division 😆 to deliver catering from Mamma's Kitchen NT to Tipperary Station NT where the Litchfield Horse & Pony Club were holding their annual camp. The food smelt AMAZING and we hear it was absolutely delicious!

We love supporting our local clubs, and thanks to Paul from Sharp Aviation Services for also donating his time and use of aircraft.
