We’re motoring this week. With vehicles from contemporary to 50+.
2012 Toyota Camry barely run in with just 130’000k’s. It has just enough scrapes to demonstrate it is a genuine elderly owner car.
For the brave we have a 1994 Toyota Hilux with a Holden V6 conversion. As yet unapproved, but with a file of paperwork attached.
Finally a proper old school dirt bike. A 1973 Kawasaki 250. Shed fresh and ready for recommissioning.
All unreserved and available for sale this Thursday 27th August.

Thank you to everyone who sent such kind messages about Rolf. I have had some wonderful conversations with old auction friends who loved him.
Tania was blown away by the number of messages we received.
The volume was so great that Rolfy made page 20 of today’s Advertiser!
Auction duties precluded me from speaking to them yesterday, so they ran a story based on my Facebook post.
Sadie was unfortunately reduced to “and a friend” status, but I am sure she will get over it.
Thank you all again, you’ve all made his loss that little bit softer.
Last night we scrolled though on Instagram. He certainly was a hard working boy.

Last night we unexpectedly said goodbye to our beloved Rolf.
He was at work with me on Friday pitching in with photographs.
On Saturday we had a Rolfy paced “sniffari” to the park, taking plenty of time to stop and smell all the things. Sunday we took advantage of an unusually empty house and he sat on the couch with me, head on my lap while we watched the rain. He sat in the kitchen and supervised me cooking up a mixture of rice, pumpkin and kangaroo for his dinner. He was impressed enough with the results to woof down Sadie’s leftovers.
About 7pm Tania noticed his back legs failing, and before 8 I felt him slipping away as I nursed him in the back of the car on the way to the Vet.
Rolfy wasn’t just an Auction dog, he was primarily part of our family. Audrey was 4 when he came to us, and Hugo just 1. Rolf was a playmate, a comforter and a protector.
He rode in the front seat next to me every day for most of his life, only choosing to stay at home at all in recent years.
Rolf added a sense of fun and humanity to our business ( a pretty good job given his non human status.)
To everyone who scratched his ear and paused to spend time with him at viewing thank you for making his life that little bit fuller, as I hope he did for you in return.
Although I thought he still had a few good years in him, I have been constantly aware that at 14 whatever time he had left was limited. I haven’t refused him a lap, or scratch, or a pat when leaving the house for a long time.
In the end Rolf looked after us as always. He spared us the pain of watching him suffer, or waste away. We weren’t forced to make a decision about when he was to leave us. We just had one last relaxing weekend, and then he was gone.
I have been told Rolf was a “once in a lifetime” dog. While that is true I hope Rolf taught Sadie enough Auction Room manners that his spirit will stay in the rooms with her.
I’ll miss you more than you could ever comprehend Rolfy. You were always such a very very good boy.

I have been remiss with my dog training. It seems Sadie can’t drive a manual, so it’s the back seat for her. Rolfie has all the old dog old school skills, so he’s raring to go!
Who wouldn’t be in this amazingly original 1976 BMW 520i. You would be challenged to find a cleaner example anywhere.
I’d be all over it if my life wasn’t in danger should I try and introduce another classic to the household.
I say piffle to fiscal responsibility and the practicalities of storage, focus on the unbridled joy!
A fabulous “practical classic” ready for a new home. Remember to highlight the massive savings to be had through accessing historic registration and insurance, and how useful a spare car can actually be.
