Walked into the office this morning in the middle of the EOFY whirlwind… and found this waiting for us from our incredible cleaners at EOSS Cleaning Co.

Chocolates (they clearly know the way to an accountant’s heart 🍫) and the most thoughtful, personalised note acknowledging just how big this time of year is for our team.

It honestly stopped me in my tracks for a moment.

Because yes, EOFY is busy, and yes, it can be stressful…
but this was such a simple reminder that we don’t do business in isolation. We do it alongside people who genuinely care.

And that matters more than anything.

Huge thank you to Stef & the team — not just for looking after our space, but for looking after *us* as people as well.

DIY accounting for your business might seem like a great idea at first:

Doing your own accounting at the end of financial year is a bit like giving yourself a haircut…it might work out…but there’s a very high chance you’ll regret it!

UPDATED: Power is back on, so we are good to go (touchwood).


Like most of the Redlands this morning, we have no power at our office is Wellington Point.
Therefore some staff will be working from home, and some unable to work.
Our phones will still be operating as we use a VoIP system (at least for those who can access the currently overloaded mobile phone network)
