I want to share a story with you...one that might feel familiar in all the best (and hardest) ways.
Iâve been working with a beautiful client, Irene, inside my Rise Again program.
We were eight sessions in when she said something that made my heart swell:
âI find myself smiling more.â
But it wasnât always like that.
Irene had a story that mirrors my own...and maybe yours too.
She met her husband at 17.
Moved straight from her childhood home into marriage.
She spent over 40 years doing life with someone else.
And then⌠it ended.
Suddenly, she was navigating life alone.
Not broken. Not helpless.
But facing a huge identity shift...and a future that felt unfamiliar.
She shared that she didnât really know who she was anymore.
Sheâd never really had to make big life decisions alone.
And she wasnât sure how to build a life that felt good to her⌠because for decades, her life had been built around someone else.
That kind of transition can feel disorienting.
Itâs not just about being alone.
Itâs about figuring out who you are...without the title, the role, the routine.
But hereâs whatâs beautifulâŚ
Over eight weeks together, Irene started to change.
Little by little, she started choosing things she liked.
⨠The furniture she wanted
⨠The meals she enjoyed
⨠The places she wanted to go
⨠The dance classes sheâd always dreamed of taking
She was no longer just filling space in her calendar.
She was filling her life with herself.
That smile?
It wasnât about the perfect life.
It was the quiet joy of coming home to who she truly is.
Because sometimes, what we see as the worst thing...like a marriage ending...is actually the beginning of a life thatâs deeply yours.
A life on your terms.
Your pace.
Your joy.
Your identity.
Youâre not starting from scratch, lovely.
Youâre starting from experience.
And you donât have to figure it out alone.
P.S. If this story resonated with you...and you're ready to begin again, gently and powerfully...Iâd love to invite you to my free workshop:
⨠Your Life. Your Turn.
