In 1993, French adventurer Emile Leray found himself stranded in the Moroccan desert after his Citroën 2CV broke down with a snapped axle. With no nearby help, he had to rely entirely on himself.
Instead of waiting, he made a bold decision. Using only the tools and parts he had, he dismantled the car and began rebuilding it into something usable.
Over the course of 12 days, he transformed the remains into a working motorcycle. The improvised machine was enough to get him moving again and eventually back to safety.
The story became widely known as an example of extreme problem-solving. The rebuilt machine still exists today as a reminder of what determination and resourcefulness can achieve.
