Phosphate Resources Limited (PRL) trading as Christmas Island Phosphates are the leading producers of phosphate rock in the Southeast Asian region. Their main operations is located on Christmas Island, an external territory of Australia. Phosphate mining commenced on Christmas Island over one hundred years ago, and PRL now forms the modern day part of its deep cultural heritage. PRL maintains a strong sense of culture and tradition, and has a strong corporate responsibility to the Island, both in their community support and environmental responsibilities.

What a fabulous Territory Week on Christmas Island! 🇨🇽🎉

From the opening night celebrations and incredible cultural performances, to cheering on our community at the annual PRL Raft Regatta, it was a weekend full of colour, laughter and community spirit.

A highlight for us was seeing the volunteers of Christmas Island recognised for all their incredible work in serving our community. A very well deserved moment for many dedicated people who give so much to this island. 💚

And of course the Raft Regatta was an absolute highlight. A special shoutout to our very own One PRL Vikings and the kids team, Moana, who took the winnings, you were all amazing out on the water! 🚣

Thank you to everyone who made Territory Week so special. This is exactly why we love this island.

What a weekend at the Dajarra Rodeo 🤠🐂

We had an incredible time being part of such a fantastic community event. From the excitement in the arena to the energy of the crowd, it was a weekend full of great moments and memories.

We were also proud to sponsor the Friday Night Under the Lights, Phosphate Resources Limited Jackpot Bull Ride and Bronc Ride, and what a night it was.

Away from the arena, we ran a kids colouring competition with six lucky winners each taking home a prize, alongside a guess the lollies competition where one very lucky winner took home the entire jar. 🎨🍬

A huge thank you to the organisers, Dajarra Rodeo, Campdraft & Gymkhana for putting on such a brilliant event. We look forward to continuing to support the Dajarra community and cannot wait to be back next year!

One year ago today, PRL Group acquired the Ardmore phosphate mine in North West Queensland. It has been a big twelve months.

We moved quickly. The mine was remobilised, processing restarted and the logistics chain to port re-established. Our first shipment occurred just 72 days after acquisition and was the largest in PRL Group’s history. The two shipments that followed each broke that record in turn.

We have completed planned investments in mobile plant and fixed infrastructure across mining and processing, established dry storage in multiple locations, built a core workforce and upgraded the mine camp in the township of Dajarra.

In July, we completed the transition of Ardmore to a bulk logistics model through the Port of Townsville, replacing the container-based model used since acquisition. Product now moves in bulk rather than containers, creating a more efficient logistics chain designed to reduce transport costs and support increased product movements from Ardmore.

Our thanks go to the Ardmore team and the Dajarra community, who have backed this from day one.

Together, we have laid strong foundations for the future, and PRL Group looks forward to building on that progress in the year ahead.

What an incredible day and an amazing turnout for the Christmas Island Marathon, organised by the Shire of Christmas Island.

It was great to see participants travelling from across the globe to take part, alongside so many members of our local community. Seeing so many of our kids getting involved and enjoying the event made the day even more special.

A huge thank you and appreciation to the Shire and all the incredible volunteers for their time and support in making the marathon such a success. Events like this truly showcase the wonderful community spirit of Christmas Island.

What an incredible day! 🌟

We had the best time celebrating Seniors Week with the wonderful seniors of Christmas Island. The turnout was amazing and seeing so many smiling faces made it all worthwhile.

This year we had the opportunity to host a Golden Days Photobooth, where our seniors got to strike a pose, capture beautiful memories with one another, and decorate their very own photo frames to take home.

It was a joy to be part of such a special occasion. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so memorable. 💛

What a fantastic way to wrap up the Term 2 school holidays!

The Christmas Island Recreation Centre officially launched their brand new Aqua Run!

It was wonderful to see so many children at the pool, enjoying the new inflatable, taking on the challenge, and sharing plenty of laughs.

PRL Group are proud to support opportunities that bring our community together and encourage active, outdoor fun. Thank you to the Christmas Island Recreation Centre for hosting such a fantastic event and helping create a wonderful finish to the school holidays!

We are proud to share the latest impact report from our Adopt a Room partnership with Cancer Council WA at Crawford Lodge.

Crawford Lodge provides regional cancer patients with a safe and comfortable place to stay while undergoing treatment in Perth, bringing a sense of home to people during one of the most difficult times of their lives.

Over the past six months, Room 219 has welcomed 26 guests, with the longest stay reaching 137 days, many travelling from remote corners of Western Australia to access the care they need.

As a company that was founded on Christmas Island, we understand what it means to live and work far from essential services. Supporting initiatives that bridge that gap, particularly for those navigating serious illness, aligns with our broader commitment to the communities we are part of.

We extend our sincere thanks to Cancer Council Western Australia for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause, and extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated team at Crawford Lodge for the vital work they do each and every day.

What a wonderful afternoon at the annual CIDHS Alumni Function at WA Museum Boola Bardip. 🌴

It was a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces from the Christmas Island community and hear from some truly inspiring alumni. A special highlight was hearing from Shaun Goh, who shared his remarkable journey and the tenacity it took to get to where he is today.

We were also honoured to have Ian Francis, CIDHS Principal, join us on the afternoon after more than 20 years of dedicated service to the school. It was wonderful to hear from our CEO Nick Gan, Country Week coordinator Rhys Bird, and a huge thank you to our brilliant emcees Shiau Wei Chu and Archer Brooker for keeping the afternoon running so smoothly.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable occasion.
We look forward to doing it all again next year!
