Business Wodonga has released a Regional Infrastructure Project Register comparing major Victorian Government infrastructure projects across Northeast Victoria, Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton and Geelong from 2016–17 to 2025–26. The register highlights the scale of state-backed investment across key regional centres and provides a transparent evidence base for advocacy, policy discussion and community awareness. Are we getting our fair share?

Pleased to see that our research on the underfunding received by the Benambra & Ovens Valley Electorates is getting some attention by a candidate in the upcoming Victorian election. We as a community need answers of the current government and firm commitments made before the election from all candidates and parties. North East Victoria deserves similar funding of projects that similar regions have been receiving over the past decade. If there is a reason that we don’t get funding, we need to know why?

Regional centres of comparable size receive double the funding.
