Solar Electrician & Air Conditioning Technician
Rapidcool Air Conditioning & Electrical is continuing to grow, and we're looking for two quality tradespeople to join our local Illawarra team.
We're currently hiring:
☀️ 1 x Solar Electrician
❄️ 1 x Air Conditioning Technician
We're looking for experienced, motivated tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, communicate well with customers and want to build a long-term career with a growing local business.
Strong 4th-year apprentices nearing completion of their trade are also encouraged to apply.
Candidates with dual-trade qualifications or experience across Air Conditioning, Electrical, Solar & Batteries will be highly regarded, and we're happy to tailor the position for the right person.
☀️ Solar Electrician
Your role will include:
Residential solar PV installations
Home battery installations
Hybrid inverter and energy management systems
Solar and battery commissioning
Fault finding and servicing
Switchboard upgrades and associated electrical work
Working with modern solar and battery technology
Delivering quality, compliant installations
Experience with battery systems is highly regarded, although further training can be provided to the right candidate.
❄️ Air Conditioning Technician
Your role will include:
Split system installations
Ducted air conditioning installations
Air conditioning servicing and maintenance
Fault finding and repairs
Residential electrical work where appropriately qualified
Smart controls and zoning systems
Working across quality residential installations
Providing excellent workmanship and customer service
We're looking for someone comfortable working independently while also being a strong part of our wider team.
Who We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from:
Qualified Electricians with Solar & Battery experience
Qualified Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Tradespeople
Dual-qualified Electrical / Air Conditioning tradespeople
Strong 4th-year apprentices nearing completion
Experienced tradespeople wanting to broaden their skills
You'll ideally have:
Relevant Australian trade qualifications/licences
Current driver's licence
Strong workmanship and attention to detail
Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Professional presentation and communication
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a team
A genuine interest in learning new technology
