The 2026 Workplace Engagement Index is outโ€ฆ and itโ€™s telling a very familiar story. At first glance, things look stable:

๐Ÿ‘‰ 25% of employees feel more engaged than last year
๐Ÿ‘‰ 50% report no change
๐Ÿ‘‰ 25% feel less engaged

But hereโ€™s where it gets interesting ๐Ÿ‘‡

46% of decision-makers believe engagement has increased. Thatโ€™s a pretty big perception gap. And when you look beneath the surface, the cracks start to show:

๐Ÿ‘‰ 54% report work-related burnout
๐Ÿ‘‰ 47% say thereโ€™s a lack of joy at work
๐Ÿ‘‰ 44% feel under-recognised
