Proud to announce that Baburam Poudel and I have been awarded a Creative Victoria grant in the latest round of funding!

This $35K will mean I complete the first draft of Babu's memoir, which we've been working on together, through covid, the death of Babu's best friend, Babu's separation from a violent partner and extensive ill health. Baburam Poudel--you are one resilient human. 🤩

Go for it, all you historical-novel writers!

Unfortunately my manuscript is not contemporary nor counts as historical. (Must be set more than 50 years ago... )

The ARA Historical Novel Prize is now the richest genre-based literary award in Australasia. The 2021 Prize will now incorporate a category for outstanding Children and Young Adult (CYA) literature, in addition to the Adult category.
