Welcome to Better Biology — here's what we do and why it matters.
Most soil amendments on the market have one problem nobody talks about — by the time they reach you, the biology is already dying. Sitting in a warehouse, under shop lights, on a rural store shelf. Weeks, sometimes months old.
We do things differently.
Better Biology is a small operation based in Woodford, SE Queensland. We make two things:

🦠 Liquid Extracts
Compost extract and worm casting extract, brewed fresh from Johnson-Su compost and worm castings using Soil Food Web methodology. Billions of living microorganisms — fungi, bacteria, protozoa — delivered to your root zone in a form that actually works.
We brew to order. That means when your product leaves Woodford, it's alive. Allow a few days lead time and we'll have it fresh and ready.

🌿 Dry Mineral Blends
Formulated specifically for SE Queensland soils and the four problems that hold our farming country back — mineral imbalance, biological collapse, compaction and poor plant immunity. Not a generic off-the-shelf mix. Built for our conditions.

Who we work with: Veggie growers, orchardists, market gardeners, graziers and broadacre farmers within a couple of hours of Woodford. We keep it local by design — it keeps the product fresh and the freight costs out of your pocket.

Ribbon mixer construction continues! A bit of steel bending and mounting a taper bearing sprocket. I’m pretty excited about this coming together

Building a ribbon mixer to blend specific soil amendments for our clients. Big project with huge results. It will mix a cubic meter of material in one batch making life on the end of the shovel obsolete.
