🧠 DAN’S QUIZ — Q3 | 1% CLUB

Righto, let’s see who can crack this week’s one.

It looks simple enough.

But before you rush to the comments, have a proper think about it. 😏

THE QUESTION:

A clock strikes once at 1 o’clock, twice at 2 o’clock, three times at 3 o’clock, and so on.

How many times does the clock strike in total over a full 24-hour day?

👇 Drop your answer in the comments.

And remember, every correct answer puts you in the running for our monthly $50 gift voucher.

The monthly winner gets to choose the business they’d like their $50 gift voucher from.

A local café, restaurant, butcher, golf shop, retailer or another business you love — you choose where we spend it.

Have a crack, and if you know someone who loves a good brain teaser, send them over to play too.

YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE ALREADY THERE.

Walk through a shopping centre.

Sit in a café.

Stand in a queue.

Look around.

Where is everyone’s attention?

On their phones.

Yet I still hear business owners say social media isn’t really that important to their business.

Your customers are scrolling Facebook and Instagram every single day.

And while you’re not showing up, your competition probably is.

Social media isn’t about posting something every now and then when you remember.

It’s about being visible.

Being consistent.

And making sure when someone needs what you do, your business is one they remember.

“I DON’T HAVE TIME.”

It’s easily the most common reason I hear from business owners when I ask why they’re not posting consistently on social media.

And I completely understand it.

You’re running a business.

You’re dealing with customers, answering calls, quoting jobs, ordering stock, managing staff and doing the actual work that pays the bills.

Social media becomes something you’ll “get to later”.

And later keeps getting pushed back.

The problem is, social media works through consistency.

Regular, timed, strategic posting is what builds your presence and keeps your business in front of people.

That’s where I come in.

I manage the social media for more than 40 businesses, taking one more job off the owner’s plate while making sure their business continues to be seen.

If “I don’t have time” sounds familiar, send the Seeing Double page a DM.

5 BUSINESSES THAT DON’T NEED SOCIAL MEDIA.

Yep, you read that correctly.

You probably don’t need social media if you’ve already got every customer you’ll ever need.

Or if you don’t care whether people remember your business.

Or if nobody ever looks you up online before deciding whether to contact you.

Or if you have absolutely no competition.

Or if trust doesn’t matter when someone is deciding who to spend their money with.

For everybody else, being seen matters.

Social media isn’t about posting for the sake of posting.

It’s about staying visible.

Building familiarity.

Showing people what you do.

Giving them a reason to remember you when they actually need you.

And while you’re not showing up, there’s a pretty good chance one of your competitors is.

If your social media keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list because you don’t have the time, don’t know what to post or simply don’t want to deal with it,

YOUR BUSINESS DOESN’T NEED TO GO VIRAL.

It needs to be remembered.

There’s a big difference.

Most local businesses don’t need 100,000 people watching a Reel.

They need the right people, in the right area, seeing their business often enough that when they need what they sell, their name comes to mind first.

That’s why I’m such a big believer in consistency.

Keep showing the work.

Keep showing the people behind the business.

Keep reminding people what you do.

Keep giving them a reason to remember you.

Because someone might scroll straight past your post today.

But three months from now, when they need a painter, cleaner, electrician, builder, butcher or somewhere to eat, whose business are they going to remember?

That’s the job of good social media.

If your business has gone quiet online because you simply don’t have the time or know what to post, send Seeing Double a DM.

I’M PROBABLY NEVER GOING TO PROMISE YOU 10,000 FOLLOWERS.

And I’m definitely not going to promise that every post will go viral.

Because that’s not what most small businesses actually need.

They need people in their area to know they exist.

They need potential customers to remember them when they need their product or service.

They need their business regularly appearing in front of people.

And they need someone making sure their social media doesn’t go quiet because everyone got busy actually running the business.

That’s what I do.

Consistently. Week after week.

No ridiculous promises.

Just making sure your business continues to be seen.

I’VE NOTICED A PATTERN.

There seems to be a pretty strong correlation between businesses that are consistently busy and businesses that deliver exceptional customer service.

And I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

You can have great marketing.

You can have a great product.

You can have competitive pricing.

But how you make people feel when they deal with your business is what they remember.

Great service creates repeat customers.

Repeat customers create word of mouth.

And word of mouth keeps businesses busy.

Do you think customer service is still one of the biggest differences between a busy business and a struggling one?

You look after the business. I’ll make sure people see it.

YOUR BUSINESS DOESN’T NEED MORE SOCIAL MEDIA.

It needs better social media.

Posting for the sake of posting isn’t the answer.

Your content needs to remind people who you are, what you do and why they should choose you when they’re ready to buy.

That means showing up consistently.

Talking about the problems you solve.

Showing the people behind the business.

Giving people a reason to remember your name.

I currently manage the social media for 40+ businesses, and the businesses getting the most from it aren’t necessarily the ones posting the most.

They’re the ones with a plan.

Small businesses are feeling the pinch right now — but so are their customers.

When people are thinking twice about where they spend their money, great customer service matters more than ever.

People remember how your business made them feel.

Good customer service costs very little.

Bad customer service can cost you a customer.

What’s one thing a business does that keeps you coming back?
