With office leases of 12 months or less increasing by nearly 30%, commercial spaces face unprecedented churn. Is your flooring infrastructure built to survive the shift?

Permanently bonding timber or stone to raised access floors creates a major paradox: it locks away the underfloor services and flexibility the system was specified for in the first place, leading to costly demolition and massive fit-out waste.

ASP Access Floors Pty Ltd's new whitepaper, "Maintaining Flexibility in Raised Floor Systems," explores how magnetic flooring bridges the gap between premium design and operational agility.

Discover how to preserve asset value, reduce downtime, and support circular economy principles with solutions like our Magnes® Timber and Eclipse® Porcelain ranges.

The City of Sydney has unveiled a 2026/27 budget exceeding $1 billion, combining a $671 million operational programme with more than $265 million in capital works to advance a programme of city-shaping investment that includes the long-anticipated $150 million Town Hall square, a $78 million Mandible Street sports precinct and the renewal of major parks, pools and public streets across Sydney, New South Wales.

The budget forms part of the council’s 10-year financial plan, which forecasts total expenditure of $2.3 billion over the decade to meet the needs of a municipality of 242,000 residents. Of the capital works allocation, $170 million is directed at asset renewal across roads, open spaces, recreational facilities and heritage infrastructure.

City of Sydney commits $1B+ to public realm in 2026/27, funding the $150M Town Hall Square, George Street upgrades and Sydney CBD park renewals.
