🌱 Can you feel it? Spring’s arrived at Balancing Heart, and the vines are getting ready to wake up right along with it.

First bud burst of the season is a stunning phenomenon to witness - as verdant green’s start to peek through along the rows, the soft green tips pushing through to sunlight after a long winter sleep. It’s one of our favourite moments on the vineyard, the whole place quietly coming back to life.

And with Father’s Day just days away, we can’t think of a better spot to bring him.

Let the kids loose to meet Vinnie, our infamous highland cow with the crooked horns (he’s a total sook for a pat). Take the whole family for a wander on our free self guided vineyard tour, the perfect leg stretch after a big lunch. Dad can settle in with a glass from the wines that just made us Australia’s Dark Horse Winery of the Year, or if he’s more of a whisky man, point him toward The Rabbit Hole Whisky Bar for a dram with a view.

Nine Year Sister are playing live Friday evening from 4pm, ready to ease you into a beautiful weekend ahead

Plus, we also have the Art at the Heart exhibition in the Sunset Pavilion all weekend, so its definitely worth a look around and chat with the talented local artists exhibiting.

If you fancy understanding more about our wine and where if comes from, our Philosophy of Wine Masterclass runs every Saturday at 1:30pm with winemaker Mike Hayes. In circa 90 minutes you'll get to explore our current season's wine collection and walk the vineyard with Mike to understand how our ancient granite soils influence what you taste in your glass.

Fresh off being named Halliday Wine Companion 2027 Dark Horse Winery of the Year, Balancing Heart is bringing the award-winning wines down from the Granite Belt to Craft Wine Store, and winemaker Mike Hayes is pouring them himself.

📍 Craft Wine Store, Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo
🗓 This Saturday, 29 August
⏰ 1.00pm to 3.00pm

Taste Shiraz, Verdejo, Pecorino, Aglianico and more, straight from the hands of the man who made them. Ask him anything. This is the closest you'll get to 900 metres without leaving Brisbane.

No ticket needed, just come thirsty. Bring the wine lovers in your life.
