The beginning of that range was the start of my journey looking at fabrics and manufacturing that would benefit us as the customer, as well as the farmers, the workers and the environment. That is why I chose certified Global Organic Textile Standard , G.O.T.S. organic cotton. I have since resurrected the range and I am selling online and through markets under the new name Classic Baby Organics. Within big companies, the environmental waste issues are being addressed but it is unfortunately a long and slow process. Over time I was feeling more dissatisfied and uncomfortable in my roles and asking myself what I wanted to stand for and for my children and the environment. It's a journey that I am taking step by step and making changes as I learn. I'm always learning and adapting. Pat and Jeans Place is named after my Auntie and Mum who were both 'crafty people' but also sadly both died of cancer from a brain tumour. I hope to benefit firstly the customers for the natural benefits, community for all and helping the environment. Pat and Jeans Place events provide clothes swaps, repair stations and recycle textile workshops. There are many options to add natural textiles into the home that will give health benefits with the less plastics needing to be used on the foods.
