As a long time labyrinth lover, I am always fascinated by pictures of them and of course the opportunity to walk them. Labyrinths are found inside churches, hospitals, in parks and on private property.

Some have a purpose built place in the centre to relax and reflect, to stay awhile. The energy from the labyrinth is calming, opening, inclusive, spiritual, healing and more powerful than you might suspect.

Some people are so creative and inspiring. This version of the labyrinth is so delightful to the eye.

Sometimes when you cannot get to walk a labyrinth, you can always work with a finger labyrinth. Over the years I have had a couple of finger labyrinths that I have really loved.

Just today I found this beautiful heart shaped finger labyrinth and it made me smile and called me to go trace around my classic finger labyrinth. I paused in mindfulness. I took some breaths. Just as quickly insights arrived into the space.

What a delight and such a peaceful centring practice.

What an extraordinary effort, creating this temporary labyrinth on the beach for people to walk. People are walking it, enjoying the beauty of the moment, the passage of time and outdoors as they do their walk. It is such a happy picture filled with colour and vital energy.

As the tide rise and comes in, it will wash away all remnants of the labyrinth that had made its home there for some hours.It reminds us of the cycles of life, of impermanence, of change, of nature and transformation.
