Deep Creek Cattle Services has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable person to join our team for Spring.
The business:
Based in Upper Stowport Tasmania, DCCS provides a progressive artificial breeding service across the state and the bass straight islands. We provide total reproductive solutions to beef and dairy producers.
The business is ran side by side a fast growing farming enterprise, focusing on cattle and potato production.
The role:
The position will consist of, but not limited to, an artificial breeding technician assistant, aiding in the completion of small and large scale artificial insemination programs, synchrony, freeze branding, semen collection and fertility testing bulls throughout Tasmania.
This broad role will also encompass regular day to day farm work including pasture management, machinery operation/ maintenance, farm maintenance, animal health, husbandry and welfare.
Willingness to travel and a current drivers license is essential.
Whilst experience is favourable, on the job training will be provided. Opportunity for full time employment will be considered to the right candidate. Career progression and development is a high priority for our business and will be strongly encouraged and supported.
A competitive salary will be negotiated based on experience. Work Ute provided.
