These Reissues are not modern hybrids. They’re no-compromise replicas.

Built by the master craftsmen , this board reflects an era when boards were shaped by feel, not by models. The outline & subtle hip stays true to the mid-80s, the classic glass-on thruster setup delivers positive control and the flat deck carries the volume from nose to tail. Glassed & polished to spec.

This is a super-limited production run of just 12 boards, covering sizes from 5’10” to 6’6”. Each board is individually numbered and allocated, making them an opportunity to secure a genuine piece of West Oz surfboard history.

Pictured is Blue 5’10”. A one-of-one, already sold to Ben Mc.

🏁 Late ’70s checkered twinny. Photos reunited

Up on our site, original Santosha owners send in photos of their wall hangers, shed bangers and still-being-shredded sleds.

Recently, an OG owner, Bryan, sent us this one.
A 6’4” Twinny. Mick Button shape x Rob Allen airbrush (photos 2,3,4)

It felt familiar, so we cracked open the ’80s photo album. Page 5. Morley factory shot of the same board (photo 1)

Pretty special to pair the two, forty-odd years apart.

We asked if we could buy it. Bryan politely declined.

First board seller’s regret? Not Binsy.

He bought this - his first board, in ’92. $150 from the classifieds in the back of The West Australian.

5’11”, shaped by during one of his West Oz visits.

Fluro sticker slapped on at the Rotto General Store minutes later.

A mid-era Santosha still in the water every six months. As they should be.

From time to time, people that own original Santosha’s send us their pics. When they do, we send them some bumper stickers in return, to represent the OG ownership group ♾️. Here’s an early 80’s weapon submitted by an S Macfarlane.

Reissue series #1. From time to time, we’ll be teaming up with West Oz master craftsmen and paying tribute to the OG outlines and foils of the 70’s, 80’s and (very) early 90’s.

Replicated Santosha ricey’s, gloss finishes, meticulous foam sprays, glass in (logo’d) fins etc. A couple of this 1985 Mick Button thruster reissue have pre-sold already, via word of mouth

Link in bio/on our website if you want in (sign up link). 12 only being reissued for this one. Some *may be available before the end of the year.

*We’re not rushing…but they’re progressing along to schedule.

This is a photo album owned by Mick Button - the founder of Santosha Surfboards. We look forward to sharing a few pics and getting them on a digital screen in the coming months. In saying that, nothing beats turning the pages of an 80's photo album huh. Ageing glue, fragile clear plastic protectors, brittle ring binders etc.

These core stickers from | went on before our stickers existed.
