When you map the buyer journey with intention —
Awareness → Consideration → Conversion
— everything becomes clearer:
your content, your messaging, your website, your OTA presence, and how each touchpoint guides your guest toward that final “Book Now”.

We put so much pressure on ourselves as accommodation providers to have the “perfect” content plan. The right captions, the polished feed, the strict schedule.

But here’s the truth 👉 your guests don’t care about perfect. They care about real.

✨ The sunrise you love on your morning walk.
🍷 A glass of wine at sunset.
🔥 Cozy fires in winter.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kids laughing in the pool or playground.
🍽️ That local spot where you grab your favourite meal.

This is what builds desire. This is what makes people book, come back, and keep dreaming of their next stay.

So don’t overthink it. Don’t just post to sell a gap in your calendar. Share the joy. That’s what your guests want to feel when they see you online. 💛

✨ Changeover days are my favourite. They’re not just about flipping a property — they’re about connection, detail, and care.

Every now and then I jump in with the team, hands and knees, pulling out beds, refilling, checking under couches, noticing the little things. It keeps me grounded as a manager and sharper as a consultant.

On our last changeover, we had just 4 hours to reset both houses. All hands on deck — and I loved every minute of it. 💪

What did I take away?
🛏️ Some linen was tired and ready to replace
🧽 Valances and light fittings needed a deep clean
📅 Time to schedule resets after a busy season

These are the insights you only find when you’re right there, doing the work. It makes me a better leader, a better property consultant, and it keeps our property sparkling ✨

If you manage a property, I recommend this: once a quarter, get out and do a changeover with your team. You’ll learn more than you expect — and your property will thank you.

OTAs aren’t the enemy. They’re actually one of the best ways to keep your property front of mind.

Think of them as the top of your sales funnel. The more places you show up, the more people see you, remember you, and eventually book with you.

Here’s the golden rule though:
👉 Always make sure your website is the BEST deal.
Cheaper. Clearer. Better.

Use OTAs to bring them in.
Use your website to close the sale.
