Did you know that all new brick and first aid cages undergo rigorous load testing before they are deployed to site?

We recently completed testing on our latest batch of cages, applying controlled loads well above their standard capacity. This stress testing helps us verify structural strength and identify any hidden defects early.

It’s about ensuring full compliance and, most importantly, keeping our teams safe on site.

A few weeks ago, Falcon Cranes introduced Safety Culture, a new system designed to help our teams manage workplace safety, quality and compliance better.

To follow up on the rollout, we got together for a safety meeting to hear how everyone is finding the new system. We also took the opportunity to reflect on the year’s work, talk through a few areas for improvement, and demonstrate other parts of the system.

It was great to see everyone’s contribution and involvement on the day, and it showed just how committed our team is to building a safety-first culture.

We wrapped up the meeting with a team BBQ, a great way to round out a productive day.

Safety is critical when working on cranes because cranes handle extremely heavy loads, operate at great heights, and involve complex moving parts. A single mistake can cause serious injury.

Since joining Falcon Cranes, Scott has always been dedicated to the safety of both himself and his team, and we’re proud to recognise his outstanding commitment to workplace safety with the Falcon Cranes Safety Award.

Congratulations, Scott! This award is well deserved, and we’re very proud to have you on our team.

At Falcon Cranes, looking after our people is at the heart of everything we do, and ongoing safety training is one of the ways we put that commitment into action every day.

Our team receives specialised, ongoing training to ensure they are confident, prepared, and equipped to manage high-risk situations safely — because we want everyone to return home safely each day.

Recently, our maintenance team participated in comprehensive safety retrieval training, covering advanced fall protection techniques, self-rescue and assisted rescue procedures, and the correct use of specialised retrieval equipment.

On the SIERA Tapestry Residences project in Surfers Paradise, watching our loading bays hard at work.

Working across 22 levels means there’s constant activity on site, with crews, materials, and equipment all moving through the project and needing to be managed safely and efficiently. The loading bays help support this by providing stable, reliable access between each level.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for the Family Water Day this past weekend. It was great to see such a big turnout and have so many families come along to enjoy the day.

The energy was high at GC Aqua Park, with some families spending nearly two hours out on the water before we all headed over to Anzac Park for a well-earned lunch together. The weather played its part too, giving us a perfect sunny day by the water.

A big thank you to the Falcon Group for hosting and making the day possible. It was a fantastic way to spend the weekend!

Thanks for having us GC Aqua Park!
