Avropa Yenidənqurma və İnkişaf Bankı (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)və Azərbaycan Beynəlxalq Bankı (ABB) tərəfindən Xankəndi şəhərində ABB-nin Qarabağ regionunda fəaliyyət göstərən 20 KOB müştərisi üçün Biznes və Maliyyə İdarəetməsi üzrə növbəti təlim təşkil olunmuşdur. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB) delivered another Business and Financial Management training in Khankendi for 20 SME clients of ABB that function in Karabakh region. The session was facilitated by SAT Group and was very positively received by participants. This marked the third training under the 2026 programme, with two additional sessions planned later this year.

This initiative builds on the successful regional training series delivered in the previous year. From June to November 2025, EBRD, in partnership with ABB and implementing partner SAT Group, organized four training sessions across Mingachevir, Sheki, Lankaran, and Nakhchivan, reaching a total of 91 SMEs. The trainings were designed to enhance financial literacy and business management skills, enabling SMEs to improve their operations and overall business performance.

Attended by 20 SMEs, the Khankendi session was delivered in an interactive format, combining practical examples, discussions, and hands-on exercises, equipping participants with tools for effective business management, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision making. The training was highly appreciated and reconfirmed strong demand for accessible, practice-oriented support for regional SMEs.

This initiative is implemented under the EBRD’s Advice for Small Businesses Programme in Azerbaijan, supporting inclusive economic development in the regions, and is funded by the European Union.

EBRD-nin "Star Venture" proqramı vasitəsilə biz perspektivli startapların böyüməsinə, vacib işgüzar əlaqələr qurmasına və beynəlxalq bazarlara çıxış əldə etməsinə dəstək oluruq.

Bu çərçivədə, Azərbaycanın fintex və loyallıq platforması olan Miloy şirkətinin İstanbulda keçirilən GITEX AI Türkiye tədbirində iştirakını dəstəklədik. İki günlük tədbirdə Miloy şirkətini təmsil edən Cavid beynəlxalq təsisçilər, investorlar və potensial tərəfdaşlarla görüşərək yeni bazarlara çıxış imkanlarını araşdırmış, həmçinin süni intellektin müştəri cəlbi və loyallığının artırılmasındakı rolunu müzakirə etmişdir.

🌍 EBRD-nin Azərbaycanda Kiçik Bizneslərə Dəstək proqramı çərçivəsində həyata keçirilən (Ətraf Mühit, Sosial və Korporativ İdarəetmə) üzrə Qrup Məsləhət Layihəsinin uğurla tamamlanmasından qürur duyuruq.

Layihə çərçivəsində BayGroup MMC, Fors MMC və Smart Waste MMC şirkətlərinə ESG qiymətləndirilməsi, fərdi yol xəritələrinin hazırlanması, prosedurların işlənməsi, əməkdaşların potensialının gücləndirilməsi, eləcə də davamlılıq üzrə monitorinq və hesabatlılıq mexanizmlərinin qurulması istiqamətində dəstək göstərilmişdir.

EBRD olaraq inanırıq ki, ESG prinsiplərinin tətbiqi müəssisələrin dayanıqlılığını, rəqabət qabiliyyətini və gələcək maliyyələşmə imkanlarına çıxışını gücləndirən əsas amillərdən biridir. EBRD Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) Azerbaijan, within the framework of the EBRD Star Venture Programme, successfully delivered a two-day in-person training: “Advising Innovation: Consultant Training for Startup Support in Azerbaijan.”

🚀 On 24 February Advice for Small Businesses Azerbaijan hosted the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Azerbaijan Pitch Event, where nine local start-ups shortlisted from a wider pool of applicants pitched to join the next Star Venture cohort in Azerbaijan.

A huge thank you to all participating teams for the energy, preparation, and ambition you brought to the session. It was inspiring to see the quality of ideas and the drive to scale!

For those new to Star Venture: it’s a 24-month scaling programme supporting selected start-ups through business diagnostics (delivered in partnership with the University of Cambridge), tailored business advisory, world-class mentoring (a network of 1,500+ mentors), access to finance (pitch events, fundraising advisory, investor introductions), access to market, and cloud credits in partnership with leading technology providers Amazon and Microsoft.

27 fevral tarixində Avropa Yenidənqurma və İnkişaf Bankının European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Kiçik Bizneslər üçün Məsləhət proqramının (ASB) Azərbaycan komandası AccessBank Azerbaijan ilə əməkdaşlıq çərçivəsində həyata keçirilən təşəbbüsünün sahibkar qadın benefisiarları üçün şəbəkələşmə məqsədli səhər yeməyi təşkil etmişdir.

Tədbirdə beş qadın sahibkar, AccessBankın nümayəndəsi və yerli ASB Azərbaycan komandası iştirak edərək açıq dialoq və təcrübə mübadiləsi üçün imkan yaratmışlar.

Görüş zamanı qadın sahibkarlar öz biznes təcrübələrini, üzləşdikləri çətinlikləri və inkişaf imkanlarını Bakıya səfər edən AYİB-in KOB-ların Maliyyələşdirilməsi və İnkişafı Qrupunun İdarəedici Direktoru Zsuzsanna Hargitai, eləcə də ASB komandası ilə bölüşmüşlər.

Tədbir həmçinin AYİB və AccessBank arasında əməkdaşlığın gücləndirilməsini, qeyri-maliyyə dəstəyinin genişləndirilməsini və qadın sahibkarlarla bank–müştəri əlaqələrinin dərinləşdirilməsini ön plana çıxarmışdır.

"Women in Business" proqramı çərçivəsində AYİB Azərbaycanda qadın sahibkarları dəstəkləməyi davam etdirir, onların bacarıqlarının inkişafına, şəbəkələrinin genişlənməsinə və dayanıqlı biznes artımına mane olan çətinliklərin aradan qaldırılmasına töhfə verir.

On 27 February, EBRD Advice for Small Businesses (ASB) Azerbaijan organised a networking breakfast with beneficiaries of the initiative, implemented in cooperation with AccessBank.

The networking session brought together five women entrepreneurs, a representative of AccessBank, and the local ASB Azerbaijan team, creating an open space for dialogue, peer-to-peer exchange, and reflection.

During the discussion, the entrepreneurs shared their business journeys, insights, challenges, and growth opportunities with Zsuzsanna Hargitai, Managing Director of the SME Finance and Development Group at EBRD, who was visiting Baku, as well as with the EBRD ASB team.

The event also highlighted the strong and growing cooperation between EBRD and AccessBank, built around expanding non-financial support, strengthening bank–client engagement, and supporting women-led enterprises with high growth potential.

Through its Women in Business Programme, EBRD continues to support women entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan, helping them strengthen their skills, expand networks, and overcome barriers to sustainable business growth.

Within the framework of the EBRD Star Venture Programme in Azerbaijan, we are inviting local consultants to apply for a free, in person training in Baku, designed to equip participants with practical tools, global best practices, and hands on methodologies for supporting startups.

Star Venture is the EBRD’s flagship programme supporting high potential startups through advisory services, access to finance, mentoring, and ecosystem development. This training forms part of Star Venture’s broader effort to build strong local advisory capacity and strengthen Azerbaijan’s startup ecosystem.

• Jurga Mečinskienė is a strategic innovation partner working at Civitta across international projects. She specialises in innovation strategy, startup ecosystem development, and EU funded initiatives, helping startups and scale ups sharpen their business models, define growth pathways, and connect with high value networks.

• Olena Shershun, Associate Partner at Civitta Ukraine, combines strategic insight with hands on ex*****on. With over six years of experience supporting startups from ideation to scaling, she has led accelerators, bootcamps, and hackathons, mentored founders on go to market strategy and investment readiness, and worked at the intersection of policy, entrepreneurship, and deep tech.
