Radiotelephony course has been developed for Radio Operators of offshore and onshore heliport (helipad/helidecks). Upon completion of this course and successfully passing the exams, students are eligible for Flight Radiotelephony Operator’s License. Persons providing an ‘Air-Ground Communication Service’ – which includes the aeronautical service provided from a vessel/offshore installation – should hold an appropriate Radio Operator’s Certificate of Competence.

Aerodrome Air/Ground Communication Service (AGCS) which can be provided by Radio Operators who are not licensed but have obtained a certificate of competency to operate radio equipment on aviation frequencies from the SCAA – e.g., Offshore Operator’s Certificate of Competence (Restricted).

ATG is the only company in Azerbaijan which is authorised to train and certify on Meteorological observation by the State Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The course of Meteorological observation has been designed to provide the basic awareness of the weather within the Caspian region and its potential impact on offshore helicopter operations. Upon completion of the course, students will obtain the understanding of the requirements and skills needed to operate as a meteorological observer. They will also learn how to correctly use meteorological recording equipment and understand limitations of semi-automated sensors for the various weather parameters as well as identify different weather and cloud types. The information presented in this book will guide you how to find relevant reference materials to ensure correct encoding of weather observations and decode TAFs and METARs. Also, they will be able to send offshore weather message via radio using the convention and provide a preflight Weather Report and a radio message detailing the current weather on the helideck.
