SIAR Research and Consulting Group of Companies (hereinafter, SIAR), has grown on the basis of SIAR Social and Marketing Research Center, which was established in 1993. As a result of its successful work on the research market and constantly increasing number of projects two more companies were established with the aim to diversify business by spheres of activity. Therefore, currently, besides the

Center, SIAR, the oldest and biggest entity in the relevant economic sector of Azerbaijan, also includes SIAR Media and SIAR Consulting, and is one of the leaders of the research and consulting market of Azerbaijan. In the end of the year of 2007, SIAR opened its representative office in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), which also covers other Central Asian countries within the framework of its research projects. As a result, SIAR has become the only local research entity of Azerbaijan to surpass its borders by own activities. In 1997 SIAR becomes the first Azerbaijani research agency to enter ESOMAR (the World Association of Research Professionals) and in 2010 it also entered such professional associations as WAPOR (World Association of Public Opinion Research) and ISA (International Sociological Association). Lastly, in 2011 SIAR was elected to be a member of Gallup International Association in Azerbaijan.
