Last but not least, i would like to say, never let your personal life to affect your work life. From my own experience, this might lead to huge loss of motivation. You might have negative happenings in personal life, as well as, in work life. If they impact each other, the outcome will be unwillingness, avoidance from work, fatigue, even moral breakdown. This will definitely lead to ineffectiveness of process.
Interview with founder of "Reasy Smart Software and Branding":
Ibrahim Iskandarli gave an interview about his company "Reasy Smart Software & Branding", that serves for local Azerbaijani market, as well as, for the biggest economic market in Europe - Germany.
1. Please, give us short information about Reasy Smart Software & Branding :
With headquarter in Baku and support team in Munich, Reasy is a company that provides IT Development & Branding services. We are operating since 2012. In the beginning, we entered Azerbaijani market with our own project called YouBaku - software that companied all kinds of hospitality institutions in itself and was providing real time reservation, description, navigation, rating and other kinds of services for users. Due to the reason that it was our first project - we had a team with theoretical knowledge and no real experience, and the Azerbaijani market was not really ready for this kind of habit of reservation, our project did not reach to expected level of success. We decided to make a rebranding and to introduce the project to foreign markets that brought us success and new partners. I would like to express my thankfulness to Mammad Karim - CEO at SUP.az, and his team, as well as, Modern Group Azerbaijan-Azerbaycan for their big support!
2. What kind of projects do you have or working on?
Currently, we have several successfully delivered projects, as well as, on-going ones. Those include both owned by Reasy projects, and outsourced to Reasy projects. Among them:
- Reasy Point of Sales – POS terminals for hospitality institutions;
- Reasy Tablet Menu - electronic/tablet menu for hospitality institutions;
- Reasy Food Delivery;
- Restaurant Personalised App – restaurant management system (including POS), apps for reservation, order management with additional marketing tools;
- QuickOrders (in cooperation with Smart Tech Systems Bulgaria) – Smart Ordering System for hotels - Room Service;
- Reasy Realtime Reservation Solutions;
- SAS (Smart & Sober) – software for searching for sober drivers to drive the users' car when alcohol is consumed;
In addition to below stated softwares, we have and we are constantly growing our partnership sphere in Europe, as well as in Azerbaijan. We keep collaborating with them in terms of IT support, Soft development and Branding. Il Sogno Restaurant München, BS Hair Design & Barber (Munich), Qafqaz Hotels Chain, Wino Tapas Bar, Gabala Tandir Chain of Restaurants are some of them.
3. Was it difficult to serve customers from foreign markets?
Of course, was not easy. In the beginning we were operating only in Baku. Since we saw potential demand for our services in foreign markets, we decided to build a team in one of those markets. Munich - the city that i have lived for 6 years, was the best option for us. Currently, i'm personally in touch with our clients and partners in non-Azerbaijani market and looking forward to build a team for expanding the scope. The core operations are and will be managed by Reasy team in Baku, whereas, team in Munich will be responsible for mainly sales, support and marketing activities.
4. What were the challenges you faced with?
Generally speaking, every startup faces certain standard challenges. Having enough courage, belief and motivation is the most important part when it comes to overcome those challenges. I would say, the outcome becomes not pleasurable without difficulties.
Personally speaking, the biggest challenge i have faced was team building process and placing the members in right positions. Human resource is very important. If team members are suitable, motivated and stick to the mission & vision of a company, i would say you have reached the half way.
The next challenges are assigning correct long-term goals, assigning correct short-term goals, as well as, assigning correct strategy to reach those goals. Role of team is important here and strategy must be interpreted to team members carefully so everyone knows their tasks. If everything is positioned smoothly, then success will come by itself, if there is no success - there is definitely experience and the revision is inevitable.
