The moment all Barbadian and Caribbean Karaoke lovers are waiting for is almost here! November 02 - 07, 2020 is when KWC Karaoke World Championships and their sponsors Singa will host their first on-line world Karaoke Championships.
This year the eyes of the world will be focused on 73 of the world's top karaoke Singers from over 23 countries that will for the first time in the history of KWC involve a team from a Caribbean Island.
Four of our Island's top karaoke singers have met the criteria to compete on the world stage and no doubt the will be looking to do Barbados and the Caribbean proud with their performances which is already in Finland.
The four representing Barbados are Damien Smith, Rebekah Carter, Cindy Springer and O'Neill Harvey four of the best voices in the Island. Each contestant had to submit three selections.
Smith sang the Tom Jones selection You'll Never Walk Alone, "Never Enough"- Loren Allred and Shirley Bassey's "This is My Life".
Carter selections are "I Surrender" by Celine Dion, "I am Changing" by Jennifer Hudson and "Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood.
Springer sang "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan, "Reflections" by Christina Aguilera, and "Run" by Leona Lewis.
Harvey with his showman reggae style and fashion, sang Ernie Smith's "One Dream", "The Way you Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra and "After The Loving" by Englebert Humperdinck
Its all left up to the judges that will be chosen by each country partner from the 23 countries to decide which contestant from which country will wear the King or Queen crown this year.
