Shontelle has been a champion of Future Caribbean from before we even began. Her belief, encouragement and unwavering support have meant more than words can express.

Fragmentation and distributed markets are not unique to the Caribbean. They’re global challenges.

For us, Agentic AI is the coordination layer and language for distributed markets. It compresses time. We may be many, but we can move as one. The outcome is what matters.

The Caribbean is where we are starting. If it works here, it can scale to distributed markets globally.

Do you think agentic AI will end jobs?

I think for the Caribbean and other distributed markets, it does the opposite.

For decades we’ve been told we lack economies of scale. What that really means is our markets are too fragmented to justify building and staffing “always on” systems. We under hire. We operate under capacity. One person ends up doing the work of ten.

Agentic AI changes that.

It gives us the ability to multiply capacity without waiting for population growth or market consolidation. It compresses time. It coordinates work across islands, organizations and jurisdictions so effectively that the outcome is as if we were operating as one regional economy.

From many, one.

This isn’t about replacing people. It’s about giving people superhuman leverage. It’s about making the Caribbean capable of competing with markets many times our size.

The opportunity isn’t fewer people.

The opportunity is finally having enough capacity to build the future we’ve always known was possible.
