I was in Kingston in 2023 when the idea to purchase FutureCaribbean.com came about, and the domain was bought.
The region needed an interoperability layer.
I was working with Orphaned Starfish Foundation and Other World Computing 🚀OWC🚀, introduced through , to outfit children’s homes in the region with computer labs.
As a lawyer, I knew how tough it was for fintechs to enter through multiple regulators, currencies and skepticism. Then I saw how tough it was even for free education resources to move island by island: donated Apple computers, technology and tutorships for kids.
I realized it wasn’t just resistance to fintech. It was a capacity issue. Too many balls to juggle and not enough hands. We needed an automated ball catcher for the region.
Investment and philanthropic capital would love to enter the region. The Caribbean is trending globally. But fragmentation makes it harder for resources to enter and for people inside the Caribbean to access resources and capital outside it.
Global capital needs scale. The Caribbean has scale but not one by one across 31 territories.
We needed a fabric that could API resources, knowledge, technology and capital into the region while giving the Caribbean a more unified interface with the world.
Then in February 2026, the world was hit by the agentic AI tsunami. 🌊 A wave made for us.
If you want to catch a wave, you have to be in the sea, not on the beach. So we’ve been wholesale building boards.
Connecting builders, advisors, global compute infrastructure, governments, corporations, capital and global networks to connect the region to each other and the world at the speed of ONE through agentic AI.
This week I’ve been back in Kingston, meeting with leaders across business and government, listening, learning and continuing to refine the philosophy behind Future Caribbean. Jamaica’s support has been incredible.
From our first meetup in Barbados, our almost 700-member Future Caribbean WhatsApp community was asking: “When Jamaica?”
Thank you to everyone who came out, opened doors and messaged and facilitated.
If solutions can work here, they can scale globally.
Built for the Caribbean. Built for the world
