D.L Smith Production Inc. a full-service Special events and production company has an opening for an Accounts & Administration Officer.
JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a qualified Accounts & Administration Officer to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks.
The Accounts & Administration Officer responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. You will also utilise the QuickBooks accounting software to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, petty cash vouchers, and receipts.
Ultimately, a successful Accounts & Administration Officer will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Opening, dating, and disbursing mail. Receiving cash/cheques and writing physical receipts. Making deposits, when necessary.
· Disbursing petty cash, cash, and cheques to suppliers.
· Preparation of accurate commercial invoices and related supplier bills
· Sequential filing of customer and supplier invoices in a timely manner.
· Preparation of monthly statements.
· Preparation and filing of VAT and PAYE
· Assist with Payroll
· Assist with collection of receivables
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
· Competency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Accounting Software
· Minimum of two (3) years’ experience in an accounting field.
· Ability to multitask and work autonomously.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Minimum of (4) CXCs including English & Mathematics
