Two children can struggle with the exact same thing ā but for completely different reasons.
Take messy handwriting.
For one child, the issue may be poor letter-formation habits and they may benefit from explicit handwriting instruction.
Another may need to strengthen fine-motor control or hand stamina.
Another may know exactly how to write neatly but rushes through their work and needs support with self-monitoring.
And for some children, persistent handwriting difficulties may point to a broader motor-coordination concern that requires further professional assessment.
