মাটির ঘর, খড়ের ঘর
হারিয়ে গেল যুগের তালে,
দুয়াত- প্রদীপ, হারিকেন বাতি
এখন এসব স্বপ্নের স্মৃতি।

মাটির হাড়ি, মাটির পুতুল
মাটির কলস- বাঁশের সিকা,
খাল- বিল, নদী প্রায় শেষ
পদ্ম- শাপলা এখন কল্পনা।

মাটির রাস্তা,, বট বৃক্ষছায়া
আগের মতো যাই না দেখা,
দিনে দিনে সব যাচ্ছে হারিয়ে
বক- চিল নানা পাখির খেলা।

হালের লাঙ্গল, গরু কোথায়,
কোথায় রাখালের সুর বাঁশি।
কোথায় গাঁয়ের ভাটিয়ালি গান,
মেঠো গায়কের মনকাড়া হাসি?
