The Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP) is a Canadian immigration pathway that allows the province to nominate eligible applicants for permanent residence. For your background — a bachelor's degree, more than seven years of accounting experience, and IELTS below band 7— the most relevant route to investigate first is the Skilled Worker stream, especially if you can secure a genuine, qualifying job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
1. Nova Scotia immigration options
Skilled Worker
For applicants with a qualifying full-time, permanent job offer from a Nova Scotia employer. This is worth investigating for accounting and bookkeeping jobs.
2.Nova Scotia: Express Entry
Generally requires at least one year of qualifying work experience in Nova Scotia in a TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupation under the published criteria. It is not usually a direct overseas route for someone who has never worked in Canada.
3.Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
A separate pathway to consider if you find a job with a designated employer in Nova Scotia. It is not the same as the provincial nominee program.
