Sustainable transformation in Bangladesh’s livestock sector is becoming increasingly important. Being part of the Validation Workshop of the Livestock Services Transformation (LST) Project was a strong reminder of how policy, research, and practical experience need to come together to create real impact.

The workshop brought together key decision-makers, experts, and stakeholders to validate findings and discuss the future direction of the sector. The session was graced by the Honorable Chief Guest Mr. Mohammad Abdur Rashid, Minister of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, who is also associated with the Ministry of Agriculture, along with Special Guest Mr. Sultan Salauddin Tuku, MP, State Minister of the same ministry, and Mr. Md. Delwar Hossain, Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. The session was chaired by Mr. Md. Shahjahan Khan, Director General of the Department of Livestock Services.

We are proud to have contributed to this initiative, with our Managing Director, Abu Jubayer, serving as the Environmental Consultant and helping ensure that environmental sustainability is considered from the very beginning.

Sustainable Research and Consultancy Limited (SRCL) is still focused on finding practical, research based ways to promote sustainable development.

We strengthened regional collaboration through a strategic meeting with partners from China and Nepal, opening doors for more integrated and cross-border solutions. Our team also conducted a field visit to the Bangladesh-China Friendship Hospital project, contributing practical insights and reviewing on ground progress.

This month, we shared key findings from our work on coastal water security with UNDP, while also co-organizing a roundtable on earthquake preparedness—focusing on awareness, risk reduction, and resilience building.

Across Kaptai, Savar, and Nawabganj, our team carried out feasibility assessments and environmental studies, ensuring that development planning stays grounded in evidence. At the same time, we continued contributing to the global research community through submissions to national and international conferences.

From field engagement to policy dialogue, our focus remains clear: evidence driven planning and sustainable, long term impact.

Sustainable Research and Consultancy Limited (SRCL) successfully completed a field visit in Feni for a proposed bridge construction project, reflecting our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable development.

Despite the prevailing weather conditions across Bangladesh, including thunderstorms and heavy rain, the team continued the fieldwork without interruption, demonstrating strong dedication and professionalism in challenging circumstances.

The visit focused on site inspection, environmental and surrounding condition assessment, baseline data collection, and understanding the local context to support informed planning and decision making. Such field level insights are essential to ensure that future development initiatives remain practical, sustainable, and aligned with real world conditions.

Sustainable Research and Consultancy Limited (SRCL) recently conducted field visits at different proposed bridge construction sites in Nawabganj, Keraniganj, and Savar, Dhaka.

During the visit, the SRCL team observed the proposed bridge locations, surrounding waterbodies, nearby settlements, road connectivity, land use patterns, and existing environmental conditions. The team also carried out environmental quality monitoring and collected necessary baseline information from the field.

These field level activities will support environmentally responsible planning and help ensure that the proposed bridge construction projects are implemented with proper consideration of local environmental conditions.

SRCL remains committed to promoting sustainable infrastructure development through field based assessment, professional expertise, and responsible project planning.

We are proud to share a meaningful milestone for Sustainable Research and Consultancy Limited (SRCL).

At the National Sharing Workshop on Findings from the Assessment of MAR, PSF, RO Systems and Salinity Front in Coastal Bangladesh, SRCL had the opportunity to present the research findings as the research consultant for UNDP.

Our presentation focused on the current condition of coastal water systems, important field insights, the functionality and non-functionality of PSF and RO systems, and key findings from the salinity front assessment in coastal Bangladesh. We also shared practical recommendations to help improve the long-term performance, sustainability, and effectiveness of these systems for coastal communities.

It was an honor for SRCL to contribute to a discussion that brings together research, policy, and practical solutions for safer and more resilient water access in Bangladesh.
