Non-Disclosure Agreement:
A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is a legal contract or agreement between at least two parties. The NDA is also known as confidentiality agreement (CA), confidential disclosure agreement (CDA), proprietary information agreement (PIA), or secrecy agreement (SA). In case of doing business along with another business entity, the NDA plays a great role to protect the confidentiality, proprietary information, business plans, databases, business strategies, trade secrets, unpublished patent applications, customer lists, vendor lists, and so on. The NDA may be unilateral, bilateral, or multilateral in type. In Bangladesh, some of the sections from the laws, namely the Patent and Designs Act, 1911; the Contract Act, 1872; and the Penal Code, 1860, may cover the subject matter of the NDA but loosely. Accordingly, Bangladesh is still in crisis for lack of new investments, foreign investments, creative and innovative businesses, and thus the speed of economic growth remains slow. Therefore, Bangladesh needs more efficient laws, policies, rules and regulations to cover the subject matter of the NDA for better economic growth.

Hotel & Restaurant Business in Bangladesh:
Every business should be legalised or be licensed. Hotel business and restaurant business are no exception from that. Every owner of a hotel or a restaurant should have a license in Bangladesh according to a law, namely বাংলাদেশ হোটেল ও রেস্তোরাঁ আইন, ২০১৪. The followings should be maintained to achieve the license:
‣ hotel or restaurant building should be structurally safe, or adequately protected from fire, electricity or gas accidents;
‣ the hotel or restaurant environment should be hygienic, and the safety of the guests or the customers should be ensured;
‣ all of the conditions required in the registration certificate should be fulfilled;
‣ in case of hotel of three or more stars, no objection certificate should be taken by the government before construction of the building;
‣ the obligation to obtain the approval and fulfillment of the conditions of all the authorities in the construction of the building should be fulfilled;
‣ the necessary permissions of various government institutions and related conditions should be fulfilled for conducting business; and
‣ all other conditions prescribed by the law should be fulfilled.

Importer and Exporter Certificate:
If you want to become an importer and/or exporter in Bangladesh, you need to get a respective certificate. For example, to become an importer you need an Import Registration Certificate (IRC), and to become an exporter you need an Export Registration Certificate (ERC). Law regarding “R**e” in Bangladesh:
The law, namely নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন আইন, ২০০০, is proposed to be amended in Bangladesh to change the punishment for committing r**e. The punishment will be increased to the highest punishment, that is death penalty, from the lifetime imprisonment. Honourable Law Minister Anisul Huq has said that the incidents of r**e will be decreased as the death penalty has been constituted in the law as the highest punishment for committing r**e. However, the procedure for the r**e cases is still not deemed properly. Witness protection, evidence collection and preservation, presence of experts and efficient lawyers in the procedure, case analysis with care and caution, neutrality, etc. are still not taken into account for the r**e cases. Therefore, we, the people of Bangladesh, are still in a false hope.

Sexual Harassment in Bangladesh:
Today's society is facing difficulties with sexual harassment that is commonly known as "Eve Teasing". According to The Penal Code, 1860, Section 509 describes insulting of the modesty of a woman is a crime, and its punishment. The maximum punishment is 1 (one) year imprisonment with fine. Further, Bangladesh enacts নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন আইন, ২০০০, where Section 10 introduces the term যৌন পীড়ন (sexual harassment or oppression), and its maximum punishment is determined 10 (ten) years imprisonment. Obviously the laws of Bangladesh have significantly developed in "numbering (1 year < 10 years)" for the punishment however, the sexual harassment has not been reduced compared to that.

R**e & Contemporary Bangladesh:
"R**e" is a very serious crime and it disrupts the social harmony. The law of Bangladesh defines r**e and its punishment in Sections 375 and 376 respectively in The Penal Code, 1860. The highest punishment for committing r**e is "Imprisonment for life". People of the Bangladesh are demanding to increase the volume of the punishment to "Death", which is the maximum punishment of Bangladesh. It is true that Bangladesh has a weak judicial system. Specially, the criminal judicial system is very poor in quality because of political influences, dominants' supremacy, lack of accountability, lack of proper judicial management and system, and so on. Therefore, the judicial proceeding of sensitive cases, such as r**e cases, is easily questioned. The practice of the principle of 𝐴𝑚𝑖𝑐𝑢𝑠 𝐶𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑒 (friend of the court) should be improved in the criminal judicial system notably. Although, Sections 45-51 of The Evidence Act, 1872 describe this principle. Nevertheless, better medical experts, better medical equipment, better forensic experts, r**e kit, etc. should be included according to this principle in the criminal judicial system for smoothing the judicial proceeding of the r**e cases.

One-Person Company in Bangladesh:
Bangladesh is going to have an amended company law to bring an opportunity for "One-Person Company". According to the existing company law, namely The Companies Act, 1994, at least two persons (directors) are required to register a company (private limited company). The honourable Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that the government is planning to amend the company law so that one-person company can be registered as a company. This will bring an easier solution to the people for registering a company as the company could be registered by only one person. Legal reformations will be addressed further for faster registration, dispute settlement, and thereto of a business. Slowly but surely, Bangladesh is walking towards at the top of the development.
