COMPETITION ENTRY II DRMC

DFA presents the competition entry.
A journey of ideas, exploration and experience!!
Every design teaches us something new-and this one was no different.

Key Ideas:
We designed our proposal in response to the competition brief, reimagining DRMC’s academic environment with clarity and context. The Ten-Story Academic Building forms a “Vertical Learning Courtyard” — a modern extension of DRMC’s long-standing legacy.
Academic blocks stay regular and modular, reflecting tradition, honor, and discipline. Around them, flexible common and interactive spaces flow freely, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and strong student connections. Existing trees remain integral, shaping shaded courts, wind corridors, and natural cooling pockets. The lower floors become the social heart of the building, alive with student life and interaction.
Our design turns learning at DRMC into a living, connected experience — classrooms, shared areas, and open spaces interact seamlessly, fostering movement, collaboration, and community.
This entry expresses our architectural approach: To create clear, purposeful, and human-centered designs that connect people and balance form with experience.
