VAALO Supports Family Livelihood through Small Business

On July 15, 2026, VAALO provided BDT 12,000 in working capital to Mr. Abdul Kaiyum to help him establish and expand a small vegetable business. The support aims to strengthen his family's income and promote long-term financial stability through sustainable self-employment.

This assistance is part of VAALO's continued commitment to helping vulnerable families become self-reliant through coordinated livelihood and education support, rather than one-time relief. The working capital will enable Mr. Kaiyum to purchase vegetables for resale, creating a more stable source of income to support his household.

Over the years, VAALO has stood beside Mr. Kaiyum and his family through a series of integrated support initiatives. To improve the family's earning opportunities, VAALO previously provided his wife with a sewing machine so she could earn an income through tailoring. The organization also covered the school admission expenses for their son, ensuring that financial hardship did not interrupt his education. In addition, VAALO facilitated the provision of a van through its network to further strengthen the family's livelihood opportunities.

Beyond livelihood and education, VAALO has continued to support the family during times of need by providing food packages especially during Ramadan and Eid. These efforts have helped ease financial pressure during important religious occasions while reinforcing the organization's commitment to the family's overall well-being.

By combining livelihood development, educational assistance, and humanitarian support, VAALO is helping vulnerable families build a stronger foundation for the future. These coordinated interventions reflect the VAALO's belief that sustainable development is achieved by creating opportunities for families to earn with dignity, educate their children, and improve their quality of life with resilience and hope.

VAALO and Primeasia University Organize Roundtable on “Why Value Matters in the Current Context of Society”

VAALO avant-garde ltd., in collaboration with Primeasia University, organized a special session of “Tea, Coffee & We” titled “Why Value Matters in the Current Context of Society” on 13 May 2026 at VAALO’s Corporate Office.

The roundtable discussion brought together faculty members from the Department of Public Health Nutrition of Primeasia University and the team members of VAALO avant-garde Ltd. The session was facilitated by Dr. Nazneen Akhter, who guided an engaging dialogue on the importance of values, ethics, and social responsibility in contemporary society.

The seminar explored the current state of values among young people and the challenges of maintaining ethical and responsible behavior in everyday life. Participants emphasized that values are learned not only through education, but also from family, society, institutions, and daily practice.

Key discussions highlighted the role of teachers in shaping students’ moral perspectives, the importance of discipline, the gap between theory and practical ethical behavior, and the impact of excessive technology exposure on youth values. Participants also stressed the need for stronger collaboration between families and educational institutions, along with value-oriented parenting, to build a more responsible generation.

The session concluded with an exciting next step — the initiative to establish a “Value Corner” at Primeasia University by VAALO avant-garde Ltd. The Value Corner will serve as a practical and interactive space to promote honesty, responsibility, and integrity among students through everyday actions and engagement.

Together, let us inspire a generation driven not only by knowledge, but also by integrity, empathy, and responsibility.
