“আগে তো এভাবেই চলেছে”—এই কথাটাই কখনো কখনো বড় প্রতিষ্ঠানের সবচেয়ে বড় সমস্যা।

একটা কোম্পানি যখন ছোট ছিল, তখন অনেক কিছুই মানুষ দিয়ে manage করা সম্ভব ছিল।

একজন Senior Leader কয়েকজনকে ডাকলেন → সিদ্ধান্ত হলো → কাজ হয়ে গেল।

কিন্তু কোম্পানি যখন হাজার হাজার মানুষ, multiple departments, multiple shifts, বড় production volume এবং complex operations-এর পর্যায়ে চলে যায়—

তখন মানুষ দিয়ে সবকিছু manage করা যায় না।
System দিয়ে manage করতে হয়।

কিন্তু এখানেই অনেক বড় প্রতিষ্ঠানে একটা challenge দেখা যায়।

কোম্পানি বড় হয়েছে,
production বেড়েছে,
workforce বেড়েছে,
business complexity বেড়েছে—

কিন্তু management mindset অনেক সময় সেই আগের জায়গাতেই রয়ে গেছে।

“আগে তো এভাবেই করতাম।”

“এতদিন তো সমস্যা হয়নি।”

“নতুন system-এর কী দরকার?”

এই mindset হয়তো একটা ছোট organization-এ কাজ করেছে।

কিন্তু 20,000 people-এর organization 500 people-এর organization-এর মতো manage করা যায় না।
আর সবচেয়ে interesting বিষয় হলো—

অনেক সময় system change-এর সবচেয়ে বড় resistance আসে সেই মানুষগুলোর কাছ থেকেই, যারা organization-কে এতদূর নিয়ে এসেছেন।

এটা তাদের ভুল নয়।

কারণ তারা যে system দিয়ে success পেয়েছেন, সেটার ওপর তাদের বিশ্বাস তৈরি হয়েছে।

কিন্তু leadership-এর আসল test হলো—

নিজের পুরোনো success formula-কে কখন update করতে হবে, সেটা বুঝতে পারা।

System adaptation মানে পুরোনো সবকিছু বাদ দেওয়া নয়।

বরং—

Experience + Data + Technology + Process = Scalable Management

আজ যে process কাজ করছে, সেটাই হয়তো আগামী ৫ বছর পর bottleneck হয়ে দাঁড়াবে।

তাই Senior Leaders-এর কাছে আমার একটি প্রশ্ন—

“আমরা কি শুধু বর্তমান production manage করছি, নাকি ভবিষ্যতের organization-এর জন্য system তৈরি করছি?”

কারণ,

Big companies scale through systems.
Great companies continuously improve both.
