After successfully conducting 2 training programs on Energy Efficiency, 3e secretariat demonstrated high demand of more training program for the Bangladeshi Industries. On 17th February 2018 The NCCI Energy Efficiency Project organized their 3rd Training Program titled 'Fundamentals of Energy Efficiency”. Around 30 participants from different industries joined the program. The focus of this event was to improve understanding of energy efficiency among local industry professionals, how to look for and how to assess the potentials for energy savings, promote implementation of energy efficiency in local industry and to disseminate expert knowledge on energy efficiency to the attendees from local industries. www.greengrowthbd.com

The 3e Programme is funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA). One major objective of the programme is to reduce the intensity of energy usage and CO2 emission. 3e has conducted more than 50 energy assessments of factories in several sectors incl. RMG, textiles, pharmaceutical, ceramics and others. The findings from the 42 walkthrough assessment reports show that on average companies can save 17% of energy consumption, 21% of energy costsand 18%of CO2 emissions. The programme is implementing by NCCI Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bangladesh.

On 22 February of this year, Denmark produced 97 Gigawatt (GwH) from wind energy, meeting its full demand for the day. This is fully in line with Denmark’s commitment of meeting 50% of its electricity demand from wind by 2020 and its move to 100% clean, green, renewable energy by 2050. Denmark’s ene...

According to International Energy Agency (IEA), in their World Energy Investment 2017 publication's
Investment in energy efficiency once again expanded and reached $231 billion in 2016. Globally, most investment – $133 billion – has gone to the buildings sector, which accounts for one-third of total energy demand.
