Connecting Google Tag Manager with GoHighLevel
This guide provides a step-by-step process to integrate Google Tag Manager (GTM) with GoHighLevel. It includes sample pictures for better understanding.
Step 1: Create a Google Tag Manager Account
a) Navigate to Google Tag Manager (https://tagmanager.google.com) and sign in with your Google account.
b) Click on 'Create Account' and fill in the necessary details:
i. Account Name: Your business or website name.
ii. Container Name: Enter your domain or app name and select 'Web'.
iii. Click 'Create' and agree to the terms of service.
Step 2: Install GTM Code on GoHighLevel
To integrate GTM with your GoHighLevel funnel, follow these steps:
a) Access the Funnel Settings
Log in to your GoHighLevel account.
Go to "Sites" in the left-hand menu and select "Funnels."
Choose the funnel you want to integrate GTM with.
b) Paste GTM Code in the Funnel
i. Open the "Settings" tab for your selected funnel.
Locate the "Head Tracking Code" section and paste the GTM Head code snippet here.
ii. Locate the "Body Tracking Code" section and paste the GTM Body code snippet here.
After pasting the GTM Head and Body codes, click "Save" to apply the changes.
Step 3: Publish Your GTM Workspace
Go back to your GTM workspace and click on 'Submit'.
Add a version name (optional) and click 'Publish'.
Step 4: Verify the Integration
Use the Google Tag Assistant Chrome extension to check if GTM is properly installed.
